So yeah, it's been busy lately.

And by busy, I mean busy for a gamer.

In some ways it's been good, like the pit rehearsals. In some ways it's been bad, like events just coming up one after another.

All city honor band tryouts tomorrow, I hope I do well at it, I've been practicing for it. At the last sectional, a friend of mine in the percussion section said I was the best percussionist at our school. I really hope so, hah. If anything, it made me feel nice.

Winter percussion? HELL YES. Like I said previously, I'm not in the drumline any more, and I absolutely love being in the pit. I get to play what feels to me like a much more important part. The pit is also so much more fun because I'm not being forced to march around constantly with 35+ pounds pulling me forward. Although now it means I'll probably actually have to work out, but whatever. My part is so much fun.

Finals, I really like finals. Shorter days, longer breaks.

So really, I guess things are going all right... I'm just a little anxious still.

And plus, it really doesn't help that my mom is just hunting for reasons to nag at me. Y'know what pisses me off? She always nags me to keep my room door open. I don't know about any of you, but I absolutely hate having my door open. First of all, I hate the feeling like I'm being watched, which is how I always feel when I have the damn door open. Also, my father leaves one of the doors open with the screen door shut, so it gets REALLY cold, and so obviously, an easy fix for me is to just shut my own door. She always finds some way to link something to the door.

I couldn't hear her calling me for dinner once. I was wearing headphones and gaming. "Oh, and could you leave your door open so if we need to yell at you we can?"

Direct quote. WE HAVE AN INTERCOM SYSTEM ON THE PHONE. She's completely technologically incompetent. It's quite frustrating for me. And if you're concerned about other things, like what I might be doing with my computer, why'd you not only get me a laptop, but say that I deserve it, too? Make up your mind, please. I'm a gamer, expect me to be playing games.

She's making things a little more stressful for me than they really should be with general crap like that.



I miss the feeling of having a crush on someone. It's a bit lame, a bit boring. Feels like I'm just kinda going through the motions right now. At least when I've got a hopeless crush on someone, I feel like I'm working towards something.

On another note, the girl I previously liked that did that whole 180 degree turn on me... I think I'm slowly starting to at least become friends with her again. I really hope we can somehow at least get back to the friendship we had before... Although unlikely... I can still have hope, right? Iunno, maybe I'd feel better if I explained a few things to her.


And on a completely random note, there's a Powerpuff Girls DVD set with all the old episodes on it. Although you might not believe it, I'm quite tempted to get it for the sake of remembering the old days of Cartoon Network. Considering PPG was from the same artist that made Dexter's Lab, PPG actually was a pretty good show. I got some laughs out of it as a kid, and I don't have a problem watching it just because I'm a guy. XD
